Unpeak Coffee

The original flavor of the beans is brought out by the far infrared rays of charcoal

"Do you roast your coffee over charcoal?"

At first, everyone is surprised.
However, in Ethiopia, the birthplace of coffee,
Charcoal has been used to roast coffee for hundreds of years.
We are recreating this ancient wisdom in Kochi Prefecture, Japan.

The highest quality charcoal made by Sumizumi LLC.

Unpeak = not reached peak

There are endless possibilities when it comes to coffee flavor.

The moment you think, "This is the finished product," your growth stops.
Always keep exploring. Always aim for higher heights.

Five characteristics of charcoal roasting
Why Charcoal Roasting?

Far infrared effect

The far infrared rays emitted from the charcoal reach the core of the beans evenly.
Let the heat through thoroughly.
This prevents the surface from burning and the inside from being undercooked.

Clear taste

No excess smoke or odor
The original flavor of the beans is clearly brought out.
A clear taste without any impurities.

Temperature Control

The charcoal heat is stable and the temperature can be adjusted precisely.
This puts the roaster's skills to good use.

Sustainable

We do not rely on electricity or gas, but use our own charcoal.
It has a low environmental impact and is sustainable.

Ethiopian tradition

A traditional roasting method that has been used for hundreds of years in the birthplace of coffee.
Reliability backed by history.
